Kied Pologo is the name of the burkinabe village where Amurt Italy No Profit Organization, for some years now, is carrying out some humanitarian projects. Kied Pologo means "the new door", a message of openness and friendship towards the guests coming from afar. But the new door can also be understood as a look of hope for the future, as a chance to delete the terrible destiny that seems to be inexorably handed down from father to son.
This book is the diary of humanitarian journey undertaken by Cosimo De Cillis, the president of Amurt Viadana and the reporter Erberto Zani: two weeks lived in close contact with the local people, eating their food, enjoying the slow flowing of time, sleeping in the villages under a charming starry sky.
The mission was to monitor the progress of projects supported in Burkina Faso and Togo and take note about the future needs.
